The dog days of summer are here! Boulder is a great place to be in the summer, but it gets hot! Want to cool off? Here are some suggestions of where to head and what to do:
Enjoy the City of Boulder’s Outdoor Pools and the Boulder Reservoir!
Pay a daily rate [$6.25/adult and $3.75/child] or get a Splash Pass which covers the entire summer at all outdoor water locations. For more information on the City of Boulder’s swimming options click here.
Take a Splash in Boulder Creek
Boulder Creek runs through town and it offers endless opportunities to enjoy the cold, refreshing waters rolling down from the mountains above us.
- Rent an inner tube and float down the creek [try Whitewater Tube Shop on 35th and Arapahoe for a great tube http://whitewatertubing.com/]
- After you pick up your tube, check out Fate Brewing Company right across Arapahoe from Whitewater Tube Shop! (http://fatebrewingcompany.com/)
- Jump in at any location you find [try entering near the Library, Eben G. Fine park, or at 28th and Arapahoe Avenue]
- Rent a boat or stand up paddle board at the Boulder Reservoir
